Web Design

Web design is a complicated subject, and though I will take care of the majority of it there are still lots of things that you will need to do before, during, and after the production process. That is why I have written up a guide to show you some of the things that go into making a web site.

Web Site Plan

This is the most important part of a web site. The web site plan is the idea, as soon as you know that you want a web site one of the first things you will know is why you want a web site. I would recommend writing up a document planning out the goals of your web site.

Layout

The layout and web site structure is an extremely important aspect of web design. Having a usable and visually appealing layout is key to determining whether your site makes it simple for the users to do the things the web site is meant to do and whether the users will enjoy their time on the web site. This is something that you will probably want to start thinking about before you even contact me so that you will have an idea of what you want. After you contact me I will help you out with the layout and try and give some suggestions to improve it. To get started with the layout I would recommend trying to find the web sites of other people with a similar plan as yours and start writing down what you like and don't like. You can browse or buy a selection of site layouts and designs at themeforest.net.

Design

This is something that will need to be planned by you before the production process.

Writing

The written content has differing levels of importance depending on the type of web site. I'm sorry to tell you this but the writing falls under your responsibilites.

Media

Images, Flash videos and Flash games are all things that you might want depending on the type of web site you need.

Code

Code will be my job. I will be in charge of writing and optimizing all of the HTML, CSS, Javascript and any other code.
